Scenario 5: King of The Hill > Lankshire

Last update: 2008/03/31

The King's eagerness of having Eadric back to the Lankshire family accelerated the family's downfall.

A few years ago, when Eadric started grabing the vacant provinces in the southeast with just a few troops, Shabard wanted to intercept him but the action was stopped by the King. The King even ordered Shabard to 'avoid conflicts with his beloved son'. Finally, the King managed to ally with his 'beloved son' by conceding two provinces '20' and '28:Celsea' to the Tudoria family.

Most members in the Lankshire family were furious about this arrangement. In particular, it was rumoured that the King might have Eadric, not Elford, as his primary successor. There were debates in 22:Londre that if Eadric would be the new King, Lankshire and Tudoria would merge to form a large family and the southern half of Ishmeria would once again be under the control of the King. This scenario, however, would certainly be unacceptable to the old vassals of Lankshire, espeically to those who were suspicious with Eadric's identity. Among the members of Lankshire, only Pender, the betrayer of the Blanche family, held a different view. He argued that the merger was the only way for Lankshire to regain its power and reputation.

King Eselred died just one day before the age of 56 and Elford succeeded his throne. Although Elford tried to prove that his father died due to sickness, some speculated he murdered the King with the help of Karla. On the next day of Eselred's death, Pender left Lankshire and joined the Tudoria family.

Rumours and chaos clouded 22:Londre. Only a wise ruler can save the power of the Royal family !

What have we done ? Eadric's spreading rumours everywhere ! He's a liar ! I can see through his plot !
Karla

Cancel this worthless alliance now ! I'm ready to take back Celsea at any time. We await your command.
Shabard

Wait a minute ! We must first settle the chaos here ! We have so many soldiers yet things are out of our control !
